The thread in the pictures below is a fabric-elastic type thread. It is available in 6 colours, approx. 1mm. We sell these threads in 1 metre lengths. We also do a wholesale reel for each colour. The Black and White elastic is available in 100 metre reels (produced in the UK) where as the coloured elastics come in 131 metre reels (because they are from the USA). The prices will reflect this.

The best way to secure this thread at present is to tie a knot! not very technical but very easy to do and very cost effective. For a neat finish try and pull the knot into a large holed bead. Either glue or nail varnish will help secure. The diameter of this thread is approximately 1mm thick and is ideal for use with either our wooden beads or plastic beads. In the shop we tell customers that they will need approximately 25cm for a bracelet and 50cm for a necklace. This gives enough elastic to tie a couple of knots. If you are making a necklace for a neck of 18 inches or over then you need to allow an extra 15 - 20 cm for the necklace to fit comfortably.
