Freshwater Pearls

Freshwater pearls are very elegant and popular beads. They are famously known for being knotted which protects each delicate pearl from it's neighbour. Pearls also have a long tradition of use in bridal jewellery and tiaras.

The first freshwater pearls below are cultivated freshwater pearls, which measure approximately 7mm x 5mm, however each bead is unique and so may vary slightly. The drilled hole is 0.6 mm

Each string measures 40cm. As the pearls are approxiamate in size and shape we have counted an average of 59 pearls per string. This number will vary with the size of the pearls from batch to batch as these are naturally grown and not machine made!

6mm x 4mm White

These pearls have a very small hole drilled through the center across the broadest part. These pearls are approx. 6x4 in size and are available in 40cm strings.
As the pearls are approxiamate in size and shape we have counted an average of 70 pearls per string. This number will vary with the size of the pearls from batch to batch as these are naturally grown and not machine made!

7mm x 6mm White

These pearls are side drilled, which give them a pendant look when hung. These pearls are approx. 7mm x 6mm in size. There are approxiamately 98 pearls on each string.
As the pearls are approxiamate in size and shape we have counted an average of 98 pearls per string. This number will vary with the size of the pearls from batch to batch as these are naturally grown and not machine made!
