Magical Crimping Pliers

Due to popular demand we have added these 'magical crimpers' to our tool range. These 'magical crimpers' crimp 2mm x 2mm Sterling silver crimp tubes, they squash the crimp in such a way that the crimp appears to look more like a bead, eliminating sharpe and scratchy edges.


NB. These crimpers are for use with Sterling silver crimp tubes or gold filled (rolled gold). However we have had an experiment with Silver Plated size 2 crimp tube, which have worked, although they are a little harder to crush and there is a danger that the plating may come off.

I do feel we have to point out that a small amount of patience is required with their use. It can be a little fiddly to get started and if you don't crush the crimp square on to the hole in the crimpers then you will struggle to get a smooth rounded finish.

There are diagrams on the back of packaging showing how to use the crimpers, as you can see below. They are definitely a tool for the perfectionists out there.

The information above is from the back of the purple magical crimpers, they are designed to work with .019'' flexible wire. There is a sample below (left) I have made using Beadalon 49 strand, which is .018'', which has worked well.

The green magical crimpers are designed for use with .014''-.015'' flexible wire, the sample below (right) is using Beadalon 7 strand, which is .015''. I also tried out the green crimpers with very fine, Soft Flex wire, .010'' which worked although I think it is best suited to the slightly bigger diameters.
