Triangular Clamps
Triangular clamps are the best way to hang the majority of the Swarovski Crystal Pendants from a necklace. These clamps are better than the jump rings above for awkward shaped pendants where the hole is not near to the edge of the pendant (they don't work with the 5mm Gutermann drop beads). We have them in Silver Plate and Gold Plate. We sell packets of 100.
These clamps measure 5mm down the longest sides and have a 2mm point facing inwards.
Triangular Claws
Triangular claws are larger than the triangular clamps. These are more robust but aren't neccessary better than triangular clamps.
Better used for the larger pendants, we know these work with the crystal heart pendants.
These claws measure 9mm down their longest side with a 3mm point facing inwards.

Hangers
Hangers come in 3 different sizes, small medium and large. The base metal is brass. We have all sizes available in antique silver colour and antique gold colour. They are very stong and will open and close aproximately 8 times without breaking.

Antique Silver -------- Antique Gold -------- Bright Silver
The small measures, overall length 14mm by 3mm wide
The medium measures, overall length 17mm by 4mm wide
The large measures, overall length 20mm by 5mm wide
Gimp (French Wire)
French wire, also known as Gimp, was an extremely useful component many, many years ago before it was possible to smooth the edges around the holes of beads.
This component was used when the sharp edges of the beads at the clasp would rub against the thread and cut it. The french wire was used to protect the thread by covering it.
To use french wire or 'gimp', you place a small length of the french wire over the thread of your piece of jewellery before you attach the clasp.
You first have to ensure that the thread will go through the french wire and that the french wire covered thread will then thread through the clasp hole.
Each pack contains approx. 1 metre of french wire. The internal diameter of this french wire is 0.7mm. This means the thickest thread you can sensibly use is 0.6mm.
