Needles and Thread Accessories
Although we know how much fun and how pleasurable beading is, there are ways to help with the experience! We have some useful accessories that any beader would love to have to help with beading projects. Some of the accessories are essential, like needles but it really depends on how hard you want to make things for yourself. We know some of you like a challenge!

Flexible Beading Needles are very useful tools due to a large, very easily threadable eye, which collapses when pulled through small hole beads. We have used them on size 10 seed beads. Our customers of all ages use these needles for various uses.Beadlooming, beadweaving and just straight threading beads are the most popular uses.
The needle is a twisted piece of steel wire. Very thin, very flexible and very easy to lose. Put them down on a white piece of paper! 7 cm in length.
Size 10/13 Beading Needles

John James English beading needles are superior quality beading needles. They are less likely to bend than cheaper versions and are relatively easy to thread.The packet contains two size 10 and two size 13 needles which work well with weaving delica and seed beads.
Please note that when the manufacturers are out of stock of the packs that contain 2 of each size 10 & 13, they will send us just packs which contain 4x size 10 needles! We sometimes have to make this substitution.

Size 12 Beading Needles

John James English beading needles are superior quality beading needles. They are less likely to bend than cheaper versions and are relatively easy to thread. Due to popular demand we now have the size 12 needles in stock.
The packet contains four size 12 needles which work well with weaving delica and seed beads.

Size 15 Beading Needles
John James English beading needles are superior quality beading needles. They are less likely to bend than cheaper versions and are relatively easy to thread. Due to popular demand we now have the size 15 needles in stock. These needles are extremely thin and have a very, very small eye for threading.
The packet contains four size 15 needles which work well with weaving delica and seed beads and are essential for working with really small seed beads such as size 15's.

Curved Beading Needles
John James English beading needles are superior quality beading needles. They are less likely to bend than cheaper versions and are relatively easy to thread. There are two curved needles in each pack. These needles are extremely thin and have a very, very small eye for threading.
The packet contains two curved needles which work well with embroidering with beads.

The soft touch needles are shorter and slightly thicker than the John James beading needles. They are also more economical if you lose needles regularly! There are 16 size 10 needles in a packet.

The hand sewing needles are various lengths and sizes. They are better for sewing beads onto fabric and other uses where you only need to go through the beads once. They also come with a handy needle threader.

Thread heaven is an excellent thread conditioner and alternative to beeswax. Conditioning your thread is especially important when beadweaving as it helps prevent the thread from fraying or tangling it also helps prevent thread breakages. One packet lasts a very long time!

The thread cutter pendant can be hung around your neck, making it very hard to lose. Made from light weight cast metal, this cutter has 15 inset blades, one in each indent, so it's impossible to cut or stab yourself! A very essential and popular tool for those who bead whilst travelling. The only cutter allowed on aeroplanes at present.
The thread cutter measures 3.75 cm (1.5 inches) across, at it's widest point and 5 cm (2 inches) from top to bottom. |
