The Big Bead Show!

The Big Bead Show!

We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came to our stall on Saturday at the Big Bead Show. It was a pretty busy affair for us, with a mega early start and a late night, but meeting so many of our lovely customers and the vibrant atmosphere makes it all worthwhile!

Big Bead Show

We had many of our regular online customers come and introduce themselves to us and give us some lovely feedback, which is always much appreciated. It’s also lovely to be able to put faces to those voices over the phone!

Many customers we met on Saturday will have seen (if not received) one of our goodies bags that we were giving away. They had samples of new products, including Swarovski Elements and Preciosa Czech glass, as well as magazines and projects! Four of these goodies bags missed being packed up to go to the show, so we thought we’d give them away here, on our blog, instead.

All you have to do to enter the giveaway is leave a comment below, sharing with us your favourite recent bead purchase, what you like about bead fairs or your go-to colour for your jewellery making! The giveaway will close 31st March 2015 at midday, and we’ll pick winners at random afterwards.

Good luck and thank you all for being such lovely customers! :)

Oval curved metal buttons in Antique Silver finish – they make great toggles for bracelets.

Not a bead as such, but magnetic clasps. A complete revelation!

Bead Fairs are a wonderful opportunity to see new things, meet fellow enthusiasts and fill up the stash with exciting shiny things.

I’m loving the Czech pip beads, as you can easily create flowers to incorporate into different designs. I love bead fairs, it is like being a kid in a sweet shop and I’m like a magpie attracted to anything that sparkles!

I’ve never been to a bead fair, unfortunately, but my favourite recent purchase was a job lot of pressed glass dagger beads, which I’ve been weaving on my new(ish) loom.

Left to my own devices, I bead in brown and gold every time. Gold-plated Delicas are my addiction ;)

I love Swarovski crystal beads – they have so much sparkle and come in such a wide range of gorgeous colours. I use them in loads of my jewellery and loving the new metallic sunshine shade.

Tila beads and leather cord to make a bracelet. As a new jewellery maker I love bead shows to give me ideas and inspire me for many future years of making (hopefully!) I would really love to win to get a chance to see new products and projects. Fingers crossed!

Love bead fairs because often you can see projects made up – so at least you have some idea what it should look like size etc.
Love any beads that shimmer either through AB coating or just the design.

Love the 7x5mm Freshwater Pearl Beads in the Champagne colour! I have used these to make lovely, simple necklaces and bracelets. Very reasonably priced thanks :-)

I have not had the pleasure of going to a bead show (yet, – on my ‘to do’ list). As someone new to beading and jewellery making I often find it overwhelming to just enter a bead shop and see the ranges offered so I’m not sure I’d cope with something bigger. My go to colour for beading at the moment is black – it suits my Gothic tendancies.

I recently bought swarovski bicones and pearls to make a flat spiral bracelet as a gift for a friend. I love swarovski products they are so beautiful!

Thanks for offering this generous giveaway. My favourite purchase has been my kumihimo disk, I’m enjoying learning a new technique! I’ve only been to small bead fairs but it’s wonderful being able to see everything ‘in the flesh’ and finding those interesting things that you maybe wouldn’t click on online. And although I love colours, my go to colour is black!

I am addicted to Myuki Delicas in all the colours that you
Supply , which are great for my picture cuff bracelets. You
Are so reasonably priced, it’s a pleasure to order from you.
