- Description
Dichroic Glass Jewellery: 3hrs - £50
Learn how to cut and layer glass to achieve different effects. We will then fuse the glass using a microwave kiln. This resulting cabochon will be turned into a pendant or brooch to take home with you. You will then learn how to create a channel pendant and earrings to be fused in the shop’s kiln, which will be ready to be collected/posted out the next working day. Your experienced tutor will discuss the practicalities of setting up a glass studio at home as well as the advantages and disadvantages of a microwave kiln/electric kiln set up.
You will be able to buy a microwave kiln set to take away on the day to continue your glass adventure or why not make use of The Bead Shop's Kiln for just £5 per firing. Either drop into one of our bead & biscuit sessions or other times, by appointment only.
All materials are included and refreshments are provided.
