Haematite
Haematite semi-precious beads are mined from the ground and then cut, shaped, and polished to a very high gloss finish. Magnetic haematite is considered to help relieve arthritic pain when worn.
These days Haematite is being replaced with a replica stone called Hematine and like Haematite it is polished to a very high gloss finish.
Hematine is produced from an entirely artificial compound but looks identical to the dark grey appearance of Haematite. Hematine can also be magnetized as well as coloured. See our bright silver, Electric blue and teal versions in the 4mm and 6mm bead sizes
