National Beading Week is a time to celebrate our passion for beads, to encourage others to start beading and to support bead businesses around the country. This event is sponsored by The Beadworkers Guild but you do not have to be a member to take part. See the official NBW website here http://www.nationalbeadingweek.co.uk/

To enter please email your intention to get involved to email@example.com with the following information;
The name of your piece(s)
What you’d like to enter (a brief description would also be useful)
If you have a photo too that'd be great (but not essential)
The piece must be handmade yourself and contain BEADS! We'll need the entry pieces by the 26th July to give us time to photograph the pieces and arrange the display (if the items aren't delivered by this date they will not be entered into the competition).
How many items can I enter?
You can enter a maximum of 2 items.
Does my entry have to be beading?
No, they don’t strictly have to be bead woven or entirely made of beads. However it is National Beading Week so they must contain beads (ie. can’t be all wire or mixed media).
Does my entry have to be an item of jewellery?
No, you can enter any item as long as they still fit the other criteria, also please bare in mind that the items will be displayed in our show window, so anything too large may not fit.
Do I need to provide a display stand?
If you have an appropriate display stand please do bring it along with your item (please also add your name to it). If you do not have a display stand don’t worry we will be able to use some of our props and stands.
How do people vote?
We will have a photo album on our facebook page to allow people to “like” their favourite piece. There will also be the opportunity to vote for your favourite piece in the shop too. The facebook likes and shop vote will be added together to reveal the winner and runner up.
Can I post my competition entry to you?
Yes, but we would highly recommend you send it to us by a signed for delivery service. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for items such as these getting lost in the post. If you would like the items posting back to you after the competition we would only be happy returning them to you via a signed for courier service which would be cost £6.50.
