Size 8 Crystal AB Seed Beads

Description

Size 8 crystal AB seed beads are small clear glass beads with an AB efffect on the glass surface. AB stands for Aurora Borealis, which is an iridescent coating applied to the bead. The iridescent coating refracts the light around the bead giving it a shimmer that adds a kind of sparkle. Another description often used for this effect is when you mix oil and water, it gives you a rainbow effect.

Preciosa size 8 crystal AB seed beads are a great size to start your seed bead journey with. They work really well used with size 11 seed beads or on their own for bead weaving projects and simple beaded bracelets. Measuring approximately 2mm x 3mm with a hole measuring approximately 0.8mm.

Seed beads are ideal for both straight stringing beading and bead weaving projects whether on or off loom. The donut shaped beads do fit together well but you will get gaps when using them for peyote ot brick stitch.
