Whether you’re making jewellery to finish off a costume, decorating your home or settling down with a cosy beadwork project. Halloween is the perfect excuse to get creative with beads!
Heres a roundup of some of my favourite Halloween kits and patterns, from beaded bats to dancing skeletons!
Those of you that know me will know how much I love bats, black cats and cooler weather! So Halloween is one of my favourite times of year despite my dislike of people unexpectantly knocking at my door (pre having children I would switch all the lights off at the front of the house and hide at the back so no one knew I was at home)!
I particularly enjoy the cuter side of Halloween, I’m currently in the middle of making an amigurami cauldron complete with purple potion bubbles for my daughter and a friendly cuddly ghost for my little one. Half term gives me a bit of extra time for crafting so as I start to collect ideas and materials for Halloween crafts I thought it would be a good time to share some spooky inspiration.

Create a little skeleton with moveable joints using our free Halloween shrink-plastic tutorial. Hang your finished skeleton as a decoration and let its limbs jangle, or reduce the template before printing to make a unique Halloween pendant.
The project uses shrink plastic and jump rings to link the bones together. You can print the template onto printable shrink plastic, or trace the design onto ordinary shrink plastic with a marker pen.
We have a wide range of Halloween charms and pendants great fort jewellery making and crafts. Here's a selection of our lastest collection. You can view all our halloween products on our dedicated collection here.

You can add a little sparkle to spooky season with our free Halloween earring project. This design combines Halloween charms with sparkling beads on small memory-wire hoops.
Choose your favourite spooky charms and play with your bead colours to put your own personality into the design. The tutorial includes a free downloadable PDF, so you can keep the instructions handy while you make.

If you fancy spending a little longer at your bead mat, our Halloween kits and patterns are a lovely way to explore a technique and create something you can bring out year after year (or if you're anything like me wear all year round!).
With 16 designs to choose from, this kit is packed with spooky possibilities. Ghosts, pumpkins, a haunted house, a witch’s hat and more to create your own collection of beaded charms, stitch markers and pendants.
The instructions begin with smaller, simpler designs before building up to more complex pieces, making it a great introduction to brick stitch as well as a fun project for experienced beaders. The kit includes our Halloween Delica bead mix, needle, thread and a selection of findings.
Already have a stash of delica beads waiting to be used (who doesn't have a collection of pretty beads waiting for the right project!)? Our Halloween Brick Stitch Pattern pack is available separately, so you can choose your own colour combinations.
Meet Bernie, our purple and black beaded bat! Made using odd-count peyote stitch, Bernie is an intermediate project and a lovely next step if you’re already familiar with basic peyote.
The kit includes detailed instructions with full colour diagrams, plus a chain and jump rings to turn your finished bat into a necklace. Or you could display Bernie as a little piece of beadwork art.
Carrying on the bat theme is our Flying Bats Bracelet. This project uses two-drop peyote stitch to create bat silhouettes, with clear diagrams, written instructions and linked videos to guide you.
The kit colours were chosen to complement Bernie Bat, so you can make a coordinating set of Halloween jewellery. The Flying Bats Bracelet pattern is also available separately.
Fancy making some spooky little creatures with us? Our Beaded Critters Halloween workshop is a fun family activity where you’ll use glass seed beads and wire to create animals, ghosts or other creatures, perfect for turning into a keyring.
