Our Button Sterling Silver Ear Studs are sold in pairs and come with scroll (butterfly) backs.  The button is 6mm wide and 1m thick. The little buttons have 4 small hole, which would allow you to customise the stud with thread too. The post, which sits in the centre is 11m long and has the 925 sterling silver stamp half way along.

Sterling Silver (or STS) is an alloy of silver containing 925/1000 parts silver and 75/1000 other metals, which is usually copper. The sterling silver standard (and why sterling silver has 925 stamped on it) has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925. Fine Silver has 999. The other metals in sterling silver help give it strength which is why it is used for making delicate items such as small jewellery items.
