Necklace Ends (Calottes) Black Plated are used to attach the necklace or bracelet thread to one of many clasp types.

You will find this component is suitably used with thin threads such as Beadalon, Softflex & Softtouch, Nymo, Wildfire, and Supplemax.

The necklace ends (calottes) are a quick way to attach a thread to a clasp without unsightly knots or crimp beads. The thread has to be fed through the hole in the hinge between the two cups. Feed your thread from the outside of the cups to the inside. Either tie a couple of knots in the thread inside the necklace end or use a crimp bead.
