PRECIOSA rocailles are the most used type of glass seed beads. They were created in Venice, Italy in the 15th century. These beads have been produced industrially in Bohemia since the 18th century.

Sold by weight, you get a lot of beads for your money! In a 10g pack of seed beads there’s approximately 1370 beads. This amount of size 11 seed beads spans about 150cm when threaded. The hole is approximately 0.8mm, and they are ideal bead weaving, including right angle weave, beading on a loom, netting, brick stitch and much more. They’re also great for general jewellery making. I like to use seed beads are spacers when working with larger bead, they allow you to add more colour and interest into you designs.
