6mm Round Moonstone Semi-Precious Beads

6mm Round Moonstone Semi-Precious Beads are a translucent white colour and are believed to have soothing properties. Moonstone is the birthstone for June. These gemstone beads are sold either singularly or strung on a 16 inch/40cm strand of monofilament which contains approximately 66 6mm beads. They are ideal for necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

Moonstone is a delicate and soft stone. To prevent the beads from breaking when adding the hole they are often drilled from one side, then the other, which is why sometimes the holes appear to be slightly different sizes on each side of the bead, the smaller the bead size the trickier they are to drill. The hole size is smaller than other semi-precious beads at approximately 0.6mm. So make sure your thread is fine enough to pass through the beads.
