Soutache Braided Cord 3mm Lavender

Description

This Soutache Braided Cord 3mm Lavender is ideal for embroidered designs, incorporating beads and stones. The cord, also refereed to as braid. Is constructed with two strands of cord in the center and a finer thread woven around them. This creates a decorative herringbone pattern and a thinner middle to the braid, perfect for stitching through. The braid measures 2.8mm x 1mm and is made from polyester. There is 2.74m (3yds) per card. Soutache cord can also be used for fabric embellishments as well as bead embroidery and was traditionally used to trim edges or garments and drapery.
