Autumnal vibes – here’s some great crafts for a cosy night in

September signifies so much for me. Back to school vibes, Autumn (my favourite season) cosy evenings on the sofa crafting. Decorating my house with autumnal foliage. Planning my hand made gifts for Christmas and of course Halloween.

There’s something so fun about crafting and decorating your home for Halloween and Autumn. I’m no expert but I’m sure it’s similar to Hygge; making your home more cosy ready for spending more time at home. When the weather turns cooler and summer is a distant memory. Which is why I thought I’d gather a few great projects together to hopefully inspire some seasonal crafting with this post.

Autumnal vibes – here’s some great crafts for a cosy night in;

If you don’t have much in the way of craft supplies already. A kit is the perfect project.  Everything you need in one product. We have some kits perfect for Autumn whether you’d like to get stuck into a big needle felting project or a simpler cut out and glue task. The Crafty Kit Company kits are perfect for this. Ideal to decorate your own home, or to make in advance of gifting the finished item.

If you’re looking for a way to make some simple seasonal earrings this project, we created a while ago, is really easy to adapt. We created Halloween versions. However you can create any theme you like by simply changing the bead colour and charm. The possibilities are endless; Deathly Hallows charms for Harry Potter fans. Gingerbread men for a fun festive pair or ultra glam with metallic bicones and star charms. You can really have some fun picking out colours and charms to suit all your friends and family. It’s a great cost-effective way of making personalised gifts too.

If you fancy a small project to learn a new skill this free project is ideal. It will enable you to master brick stitch while making small charms or pendants. If you select one of our pre-made Miyuki Delica mixes, the hard part of picking colours is already done for you too.

If you’re looking to give yourself a little challenge or enhance your beading skills. We have two owly projects that might be right up your street. Our Night Owl Bracelet kit is created using odd count Peyote stitch. This is a great project to get to grips with this technique. Barnaby Owl kit also uses odd count peyote stitch.
