Description

On our Introduction to Polymer Clay Techniques get to grips with some of the most useful and practical processes when working with polymer clay. Learn how to condition the clay, mix colours, create ombre colour blends and make simple cane designs. You’ll also learn how to use a pasta machine to help you with these processes, as well as how to achieve them with an acrylic roller. You’ll use all the technique learnt to and canes made in the class to apply to your own beads or pendants. This is a fun workshop great for experimenting with colours and effects. We’re sure you’ll be leaving us brimming with further ideas and plans. The polymer clay will require baking to harden, you will be provided with small box to protect your pieces while transporting them, to bake at home.

Our Introduction to Polymer Clay Techniques workshop is suitable for complete beginners. As well as those looking for something a little different to try or to further their jewellery making skills. Due to the level of patience and sharp knives involved this workshop isn’t suitable for children under 12. (Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).

Please note we now use Fimo polymer clay (not Sculpey) as we have updated our range in 2022. However the workshop content remains the same.

To see all our available classes head to our workshop page here.

We also have a  video to show one of the techniques you’ll learn and get to experiment with, which you can view on YouTube here.
