Resin Jewellery Part 1 & Part 2
|Title:||Resin Jewellery Part 1 & 2 with Mould Making.|
|Time:||4 Hours, split over 2 weeks, 2 hours each week.|
|Description:||Week 1 - you will be taught about the different types of resin and the possibilities there are with creating resin pendants. You will make several different resin pendants incorporating colour, trapping objects and layering. You will also get the chance to create your own mould using Siligum.
Week 2 - You will continue to add layers to some pieces and you will also learn how to finish your pendants to a high standard and the different ways to attach findings.
|Difficulty Level:||1 - This workshop is aimed at complete beginners, it's also perfect for someone looking to brush up on thier skills or just learn something new.|
|Techniques and skills:||Mixing resin, incorpratinng colours and different objects. Creating your own reuseable mould.|
|Materials used:||Resin, pigments and mixed media.|
|Additional items needed:||Just yourself. Although if you have any items to like to take a mould from or trap in your resin feel free to bring them along, although we do have plenty of items you can experiment with too.|
|Additional Information:||Please be aware there is an age restriction of 16 yrs. It's also best not to wear your best clothes although aprons will be provided and a warm top is advised as we will need the windows open for ventilation.
Resin is not a dangerous material when used correctly, there will be a brief health and safety talk at the beginning of the work shop to discuss any hazzards.
All materials are provided and you get to take home the jewellery you make (you will have to leave the resin to set before collecting). There will be fairtrade refreshments and you will also receive a 10% off voucher for purchases you make in the shop (exclusions apply, please see main workshop page for more details).
