Make Resin Jewellery in two workshops

Resin Jewellery Making class

Resin Jewellery with mould making and collage – 2 part workshop
4 hours (over 2 weeks) - £55
Skill level : 1 (beginner)

This workshop runs over two consecutive Saturday afternoons  (so that any layered resin pieces have time to dry between sessions). In the first week you will learn about different types of resin and the variety of possibilities there are with this interesting medium. You will make several different resin pendants incorporating colour, trapping objects, images and layering. You will also get the chance to create your own mould using Siligum.

In the second week you will continue to add layers to some of your pieces and you will also learn how to finish your pendants to a high standard and the different ways to attach findings.

Please be aware there is an age restriction of 16 yrs. It's also best not to wear your best clothes, in theory you shouldn’t get resin on your clothes however if you do get any on them it will not come out. Resin is not a dangerous material when used correctly; there will be a brief health and safety talk at the beginning of the work shop to discuss any hazards.

All materials are provided and you get to take home the jewellery you make (you will have to leave the resin to set before collecting). There will be fairtrade refreshments and you will also receive a 10% off voucher for purchases you make in the shop (exclusions apply, please see main workshop page for more details).
