Join us for a virtual workshop learning how to make wirework vines perfect for tiaras, fascinators or decorations.
PLEASE NOTE THE MATERIALS FOR THIS WORKSHOP ARE NOT INCLUDED, THEY CAN BE BOUGHT SEPARATELY. See below for a materials list.
We will be running the session on Saturday 16th May at 10.30am.
How will it work?
Buy the virtual workshop and we will email you a link to join the class via Zoom, on Friday 15th May.
What if I miss the beginning, or can’t make the time after I’ve bought the kit?
If you have missed the beginning you will still be able to join in, but unfortunately we’ll not be able to start again from the beginning. If you’ve missed more that the first 15 minutes or so, you might find it easier to wait until you can access the video after the live session has finished.
How long will the workshop be?
We will anticipate the workshop will be approximately 1 and a half hours (including introductions and questions as the end). Hana, our tutor will be available for longer and will stay connected with anyone who has further questions or needs extra help (after all , everyone will have different levels of experience and works at a different pace, which is absolutely fine).
Do I need special software or equipment to view the tutorial?
You will need to use a device that has a forward facing camera, not all PC’s or laptops have this, however most tablets, pads and phones do. We will be using a service called Zoom, so that you can interact with Hana and ask questions. This link give you more information about how Zoom works and how to “Join a Meeting” https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting-
Materials needed to join in?
We sell a tiara making kit which has the materials needed to join the workshop. Alternatively you can buy the items separately (or raid your stash!);
0.4mm wire at least (you may find having 0.6mm wire useful too)
Hair comb or tiara band
Selection of beads, you could use any bead, many of the czech glass bead mixes or Swarovski crystal mixes would be suitable.
What else might I need?
There are a couple of items that are really useful, but not essential and some of you might already have them.
A beading mat – very useful for stopping all your beads from rolling away.
Cutters – for cutting your wire.
Chain nose pliers – for holding and shaping your wire.
